Lee I just make them for myself but if anyone wants a few just ask. Brian it is fun I love creating things.
As soon as the kiln hits 1900f it shuts off. I have it configured to increase by 400f per hour so roughly about 5hrs to reach the final temp.
If anyone was wondering the mold is made from plaster of Paris. It is super absorbent and pulls the water from the clay slip. As it does the plug shrinks releasing itself from the mold. I can get about 3 pours a day from it. 70 plugs per pour so about 200 plugs a day from one mold. The dimple in the plug forms over about 30 minutes as the water is absorbed leaving behind the clay. I can refill it if I want it flat for zoas but leave the dimple for sticks on about 1/2 the plugs
