Title: DIY small fish, crab and mantis traps
Post by: aquavista99 on May 15, 2006, 10:23:20
They sell various mantis, fish and crab traps commercially, but you can also make one yourself for under a dollar. I have used the DIY trap listed below to even catch a  six-line wrasse without disturbing the reef. I just attached fishing line to the bottle and pulled the trap up when the fish entered for food.

I used one of those to try to catch my damels. One went in, but the other one, to this day, will not go near it!! Guess he saw his buddy disappear!!
