I’ve still not mastered the GoPro yet, but here’s a video I put together if you have 5 minutes. This is at Looe Key Marine Sanctuary in Key West. The monster at the end of the video was breathtaking.
This picture is courtesy of Aquavista. This is an overhead shot of the reef.

I can’t believe the number of fish you were able to see while you were there. You definitely found the hot spot!

Were these anthias? It looked like you saw a variety of angelfish and tangs as well.

They called them Jacks. They do look a lot like Anthias though.
Good observation Brian. The video just can’t capture the scenery like what your eye sees. The fish were alot closer than the camera makes it appear. That huge Angel had marks like a Coral Beauty but he was massive. And didn’t seem bothered by me at all. And then that little damsel ran him out of his spot. It was funny to see. But yes, lots of bristletooth tangs, surgeon tangs, hogfish, parrot fish and of course the massive grouper hanging out under the boat! Awesome snorkeling.

Jesse, amazing video! I see a lot of green in the video are these sponges?
Cheers Rick

Thanks Rick. Those green/yellow encrusting things all over the place were the only stony corals I seen. Looked like some kind of porite or montipora.
