My rockin' cleaner shrimp!

I actually had this same thing happen to me a few years back. I had 2 skunks and they decimated one of my clams in the same manner. I'm not sure if the clam wasn't doing well and it just let them finish it off (it wasn't the healthiest when I got it a few weeks before) or what but I was pretty steamed about it. They weren't as big as yours tho. It's always neat to put your hand in the tank and let them pick at your hand, wish they didn't cost so darn much I really wouldn't mind to have a couple more (that is if my coral banded would't go rambo on them).

Caught your post, and just wanted to let you know that we have skunk cleaners on sale this weekend for $11ea, they do go quick though.

Just thought I'd let you know in case you did want to get a couple without taking out a second mortgage !

My fish are not letting my cleaner shrimp groom them at all.  Is it just a getting used to each other period they must go through?  Or since they are not getting along now, they will never get along?

They need to get used to each other, and mine seem to like to do it in private. They are also scared of eahc other it seems.

My cleaner shrimp took a couple wks to get close enough to clean fish and then when fish were comfy with shrimp they ATE some fish.

my yellow tang bites off half of my cleaner shrimps antenna when they come out in the daytime, so they hide all the time. makes me mad

The shrimp are not affraid of the fish.  The fish act as if they are affraid of the shrimp!!!!

Jeremyt; I was referencing karma about the shrimp. Its like a running joke because I have two shrimp that no one can catch and they have killed a 6line, two chromis,1 mandarin 1 clam and BooCoo snails.
So when you said "My yellow tang bites off half of my cleaner shrimps antenna"... I was talking about the Shrimp Karma.
Sorry for any misconstruing of my being silly.
