We need some equipment
« on: February 18, 2009, 11:17:04 »
We are looking for reasonably priced used equipment.  Some of the things we need:
A protein skimmer capable of 300+ gal. filtration, and an IceCap 430 electronic ballast.  If you have these items for sale/trade, please let us know.  We need immediate acquisition.  Thanks for looking.

What do you plan to power with the IceCap ballast?

Rob, we are going to use it for VHO lighting.  If YingYang is there, for some reason I am not allowed to respond to the email you sent me concerning the 430 ballast.  Feel free to call me 937-545-3874

The IceCap ballasts are wonderful, however, you can save some money if you were to go down the path of some other ballasts.  In particular, check out the Workhouse ballasts by Fulham, these are the OEM from several manufacturers.  They will light just about any fluorescent bulb out there.  A workhorse7 will deliver 220 watts of power, they sell for less than $50.  One of these would power two 48 inch VHO bulbs.  Something to think about.

ROB !!!
I have no idea how to contact you directly about the skimmer.  I am so confused at this point, I hope you are the one with the ETSS 1000 skimmer, as we would definitely like to get with you asap.  I am not totally familiar with the layout and use of these fourms yet, so I am going to try, hope, that you see this posting.  If anyone can help get ROB to contact me, please forward my number 937-545-3874 to him.  It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Duane
