Title: NEW TO FORUM
Post by: Swindec on January 14, 2020, 15:40:46
HELLO EVERYONE. MY NAME IS CHRIS AND MY SON BRENDAN AND I ARE WORKING TOGETHER ON A 90G TANK. HAD A FOWLR TANK IN THE PAST AND HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT STEP. WE MET BRIAN FROM LAZY'S ON SAT. AND BOUGHT OUR FIRST CORALS. HE WAS A HUGE HELP AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. HE DIRECTED ME TO THIS CLUB AND I AM EXCITED TO LEARN AND GAIN AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE FROM YOU ALL.
                     THANKS
                     CHRIS FROM DAYTON OHIO

Welcome! Everyone here is super helpful as I’m sure Brian mentioned. I think I saw you while I was there, just heading out. Good luck on the reef and make sure to ask any questions you need answered!

WE BOUGHT AN TRUMPET CORAL, ZOANTHID, DUNCAN, AND ALVEPORA. ALL EXCEPT THE TRUMPET IS FULLY OPENED AND LOOK GREAT. HOW LONG SHOULD IT TAKE FOR THE TRUMPET TO OPEN. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?

Good to hear. I thought they were so posed to extend tentacles.

Welcome! Take a took at it about 30 minutes after the lights go out. They should have some extended irradescent feeder tentacles. It may take a while for them to come out when the lights are on. But once they’re fully acclimated they will.

I found a pic that calls it a melanuris or tail spot wrasse
