Who wants to rescue my Clown?
« on: May 19, 2009, 11:46:28 »
I've had this Ocelaris for about 3 weeks now. He rarely ate from the begining. Now he is very thin, swimming at the top. My other Clown is fine, as are the rest of my fish. He shows no sign of disease, except his thin apearance. All params are fine except phosphates at .5. Any ideas guys? I really hope I don't go home and find him floating.

Did you get these clowns as a mated pair? what other fish are in your tank? do you have a QT tank?

What are you feeding?
75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

I got separate a few weeks apart. But they were inseparable. No QT tank, need to find room for one still and get it set up.

I feed them everything, a good mix of frozen foods, and some pellets.

Is there any aggression?  You can try feeding live food or treating the food you use now with a garlic supplement to see if he's interested in eating.

Well I had a major bacterial bloom yesterday at work. Mostly cleared up now, but hes missing, along with a Chromis.

I would check again to see if any of your nutrients spiked.  When you get blooms like that, spiking nutrients is a possible cause.  To say if the fish died and caused it or if the spike caused a fish death is another issue.
