Went to Kroger today to pick up some pickling lime, but they don’t carry it. Instead they have concentrated calcium chloride. (See pics below)
Am I able to use that?

I discovered that after I got home and found that pickling lime is calcium hydroxide not calcium chloride. I was really hoping to find pickling lime as it’s a lot cheaper than “kalwasser” even though it’s the same stuff. I guess when you label it for aquarium use the price goes up. LOL
Could probably use the stuff I found today for part two of Randy Holmes-Farley’s two part recipe, if I remember right.

Thanks for the Menards suggestion. According to their website my local store has it in stock!!
