Headed to Orlando
« on: November 01, 2011, 20:50:33 »
Well, I finally got my official assignment notification today.  For some reason they were not able to put me at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton beach (like they had been telling me for a year lol).  Anyways there were able to get me to Patrick AFB just south of Cape Canaveral near Orlando, so its hard to complain lol.  I leave soon as I graduate end of March.

Disney world anyone? :)

Sounds like a sweet job too.  I'll be at:

"AFTAC's mission is the detection of nuclear detonations (NUDETs) anywhere in the world: below ground, in water, surface blasts, free-air and in space. The global network of monitoring is referred to as the United States Atomic Energy Detection System (USAEDS). The purpose of maintaining the vast network is to ensure that countries who are signatories on various nuclear treaties comply with the intent of the nuclear treaties"
