Title: Drones
Post by: lazylivin on October 25, 2016, 21:36:14
Anybody out there into drones?  I just bought one I'm excited about. It is the DJI phantom standard. they were on clearance for $369 been  at Newegg.com.  Been wanting one for a while, couldn't pass  up on that price. Looks like they're dumping stock for a new model.  I think it'll be a couple weeks before it arrives.  looking forward to it. If you're into them and have taken some videos let's see them

I will dig some up or make new video for ya.

For us, the photo aspect takes a back burner. We spend most of our time practicing maneuverability and control. And repair lol

The one you are picking up is a great camera platform. And you are correct, they are preparing for the new model.

I think Brian needs an underwater drone to zip around the frag tanks and make videos for our viewing pleasure!

I have a nice remote GoPro you could use under the racks that can be controlled remotely via WiFi by cell... I have thought about setting it up in my tank to watch the fish from my phone upstairs when they can't see me.

I've got a FPV drone on the way, a fully autonomous drone mid build, and a pile of others.

I would be terrified to fly my drone around a pool lol... it's a cheap one and unstable I've almost lost it every time I have attempted to fly it

I saw your Phantom on my way out the door last Saturday. I just bought a Phantom 4 a couple months ago, only had it out a couple times because of the winter weather. I'm thinking about getting my Part 107 certification so that I don't have to deal with a lot of the laws requiring you to notify airports and such.
