new fish
« on: January 25, 2009, 16:21:47 »
I picked up 3 chromis and a Yellow Tang after the meeting (and got rid of the Damsels). 1 of the chromis is just sitting on the bottom against the glass. no heavy breathing, water tests fine. other 2 chromis and tang are swimming great.  Is sitting on the bottom normal new tank stress?

do fish learn to eat different stuff?  I tried Spectrum pellets and formula flakes, but they taste it and spit it out.  the 2 good chromis loved daphnia.  I put a piece of unflavored Nori attached to a rock for the tang, didnt seem too interested.  Is that ok or do i need to get "special fish nori"?

We feed a variety at the shop I would try frozen formula two and some some freeze dried algae for the tang, the chromis would probably like some mysis
If you didn't know I'm kind of a big deal...
