Hammer/ frogspawn
« on: January 30, 2021, 21:10:06 »
Hello all,

I have some frogspawn and two different types of hammer that just don’t seem to be coming out like they should. They open a little, but usually for short periods of time. Could this be due to a flow issue or lighting? Just trying to figure out how to make them happiest. Attached are my parameters that I measured last night. Last calcium check was around 400 ish

I’ve always kept my tank at 78deg. Not sure if that could be an issue.

Is your alk still high?

If you can post a picture of them and their location in the tank, it would be helpful. A video would be even better. They are pretty tolerant to a range of flow and light conditions. Is there a fish that might be picking at them? Or an emerald crab?

I don’t have any videos or close up pictures, but the black circle is where the green and purple hammer is, and the red circle has the frogspawn. The purple hammer is the yellow circle in the other picture.

I had to get rid of a D. Sailfin after it developed a taste for euphyllia corals, I would keep an eye on the sailfin and the blue.
