Did you disturb any sand as you did the water change? Could anything have been added to the bucket? Did you dose anything? Did you change that sock?

If he just made the new saltwater and did not let it clear before adding could cause it..... Addiditives like kalkwasser could be an issue or even just a simple algae bloom....... Just a few ideas.
