Bacteria propagation

I will be setting up my display tank next week. Since the move everything has been in a holding tank in the basement. I would like to have less live rock in the display but have always had an issue with phosphates. I control them with GFO. I have read about MarinePure having and issue leaching aluminum. Has anyone had experience with the other similar product by Brightwell Aquatics XPORT BIO? It is basically the same concept except they claim that they do not FIRE or heat the product so it does not have the aluminum issue.

I had the same thoughts, so I am trying a brightwell no3 export in my new tank. Unfortunately I don't think mine will be ready for results anytime soon for you though.

Directions say to put the block in a small container of tank water with bacteria starter for 24 hours and them place in the sump.  This will seed the block

Look into siporax if you really want something that won't leech.  It's much more popular outside of the us.
