not really an "airshow". Yes they have some flybys, but nothing spectacular, just whatever planes they can get that scheduled to fly that day. Usually a lot of no shows. B2, B1, F15 were no shows this year.
Basicly there is a big stage with a local opening band, there are tons of little "fair-like" food buildings. So you can get your deep fried oreos and all.
Then they usually have the air force band of flight play some scores dedicated to something. This year they highlighted the 10 year anivesary of 9-11. This is when the flyovers happen.
Then the General comes out and they do a few award presentations (bronze stars, etc) and usually does a swearing in of some new enlisties.
When all that is over its around 9pm and they get an older well known band to play. Past years have had 38-special, charlie daniels, aaron tippon, and Lonestar this year.
The night ends with fireworks and 45 mins of waiting to get out of the parking lot
Its a fun event the base puts on to give back to the community.
