Thats probably one of the best softy/lps tanks that I have seen. Very nice job! What is the equipment used for this tank, and also what do you feed, and how often?

thanks ^-^

it is very very simple. it has an overflow box which drains into a 20g sump below... the sump is stupid, i am going to be working on it monday adding baffles. as of now, it drains down into the back right corner of the sump, the front right corner has a pile of rocks where i throw all the anthellia that overgrows my tank, in the middle is a ball of cheato, and on the left is a maxijet for a return ;D. over the refug is a 2x 65w corallife fixture and over the main tank is a 4x65w knock off corallife fixture. and a maxijet in the tank.

it dosent seem like a lot of flow, but its enough to give everything a gentle breeze.

the only thing i had to buy for this tank was some cinder blocks for a stand and the light. i had maxijets, the rock, the coral, the sand, the tanks, the fuge light.

the corals grow like crazy. the xenia in the center, i got free from marine solutions as a 2" frag, three months later its huge. the anthellia started out as one polyp a year ago... now its like 5 huge mats and i peel off a 1" mat of anthellia daily and throw it in my fuge.

i just need to add some hermits and snails to take care of the little bit of HA that has been lingering in the tank.

How does the MJ do as a return pump? I didn't think they could pump up very high.

I would like to see the sump and return setup pics.

Very Nice tank....softies rule!

MJ's work fine, I used one when i started.  They tent to not restart when unplugged after a while.  Got sick of having to manually restart mine and finally went with a mag.

as far as pumping they work just great

Awesome tank! How you have set up your sump/fuge is actually how I had planned on putting together the sump for our 60 gal. Nice and simple. Encouraging to see that it does actually work that way. At this point we're still getting together the stuff but the sump will be made from a 29 gal.

i encourage you to add baffles and seperate chambers.. mainly so you can easily have a area for filter pad or a filter sock... i hate all the loose debris in the sump.
