The Red Hornets & Flaming Fire Frogs are deep water and need really low light or they will dissolve away on you. They can be acclimated to higher light but very slowly over 4-6 months.

The Flaming Fire Frogs also know as Fruit Loops are really nice zoa's.

Where is the best place to research/identify Zoa's?

Lazylivin, I sure appreciate that.  It would have been nice to know when I purchased them.  Too many online vendors don't bother to give you essential info like that  :(

I moved them all this morning down to the bottom of the tank in shadowy spaces.  Let's see if that makes them happier.

It's hard as heck to research zoanthid needs being as they come up with all these "cutesy" marketing names and you really don't get the info as to where they were collected and what their lighting needs are.  Frustrating!

Glad you guys like them. I amazed everyday at all the different varieties of zoa's that are being found in the ocean. Those last three are from the reefs of Florida. The first 2 were already named but they called the last one just. A lot of folks don’t really like the name game but for me it makes it fun.

~reefchik~ do you have any updates on how your zoanthid's are doing?

They came in pretty ruff looking, took about 3 days to open but they have been coming around over the past couple of weeks. I cant get very good pictures anymore due to everything being in a rubbermaid tub and not having a tripod that can work with it.
