Title: Red Slime Pic
Post by: dee99gt on November 02, 2011, 19:11:15
I finally got a new light, coralife aqualight pro 48in 2x150w mh, 4 moons, and 2 pc actnitics.  Here's a pic of my red slime issue..  There is flow hitting them...  I also started using chemi-pure today...

So is the light really better than my t5 ho(4 x 54w)?

How long or will the red slime eventually disappear?

Best thing to do is go in and remove as much of it as you can.

I had that too and i switched where i got my water from and it cleared up!! but i agree with getting as much out as you can!! I did it when i did water changes!! just used a 4-5 foot hose and syphoned it out into a bucket!! It will all come off real easy!!
