Noopsyche lights
« on: December 21, 2019, 23:40:16 »
Bought one of these noopsyche k7 pro lights from aquarium artisans today. I needed another light for when I get the new 80gal tank setup, well to buy another Kessil light was going to be expensive, so I decided to try out this light after seeing a few reviews on them and taking to a couple people it seemed like a good deal! This thing is CRAZY bright! I will be selling the kessil a160we and controller I have once the mount for this light comes in. I’ll be running 2 of these on the new tank, can’t wait to see how they perform for me.

Awesome!  What time were you at Aquarium Artisans?  I think I was there between 2 and 3.

I was there from 11:30 til 1:30. The cincy reef club had their Christmas party there and I figured it would be a good excuse to check out the new shop.

Couple of new pics of it since I got a loaner controller to use to adjust the lighting colors. Ordered a controller of my own today so I can program it on a schedule. Pretty happy with it so far.

Looks great!  What kind of controller and how much does that cost?

It’s a noopsyche brand controller. Controller is $$57, light is $155ea and the mounting bracket is $29. Full kit is $240. Once you have 1 controller you can control multiple lights on each aquarium.

Let us know what your PAR numbers end up being. This looks like a great light.

Jsellars, great post - glad you like the light - Brian, I was getting 600 + PAR from mine as well. I have two of them over the center of my 165g tank.

Cheers Rick

Played around with the PAR meter last night, with all colors at 100% I got a 719 reading at the surface of the water. Light is probably 12”-15” above the water (I forgot to actually measure)
