I have used it Cody. I liked it. It made my water really clear and healthy. The livestock seemed a little happier to.

So do you use this in place of carbon or along with the carbon?

I intend to use it in place of carbon... see if it has any noticeable effects over standard carbon... I bought the elite which also has GFO... I have heard plenty of good about it, we shall see..

micki: I use chemi pure inplace of carbon at the moment. I have always used BRS Lig carbon in the past but was recommended this product by another reefer. The whole debate on GFO with clams goes back and forth. The fellow reefer who recommended this to me has two t.gigas that are bigger than mine and he runs this chemi-pure product.  It's pricey, so I shopped around and got it fairly cheap from PremiumAquatics. I will go back to the 5gal bucket of Lig carbon as its much cheaper for me treating a larger system.

I used this when I had my 30g Finnex. Good stuff but expensive.

I picked up some for my biocube... Paid $5 per pouch of the Elite.... one pouch does up to 20 gal

I have heard it lasts longer than your standard gfo/carbon?!? and that it will not leach back into the system after expended?!?!

I was told a single pouch lasts 4-6 months... if this is true, it will be cheaper for me to run it over Carbon and GFO in my Bio Cube.

I dont believe this will last 4-6 months like it says on the package if you have a more than average bioload.

I run it in my 180 at home, I change it out every 10-12 weeks. I use 3 of the full units, which are rated at 40 gallons each. I was having a bad film algae on my glass(every few hours it would cover glass after mag float) I have no problems with the algae at all.

I used chemipure elite in my Red Sea Max 130s and I currently use it in my RSM 250.  Works well and seems to  make the water bluer.
