Site Theme
« on: February 12, 2012, 02:13:44 »
Just FYI - I turned off the Valentines Day Theme. With the focus being on the Frag Swap through next month it wasn't very reefer like for all the guests the swap advertising brings in. If you like it you can change it back in your profile under look layout here http://www.ohioreef.com/index.php?action=profile;area=theme

Kev, you are too funny!  I changed mine when it first came out, I had to scroll the page over every time and that drove me nuts!   The red was a bit overwhelming for my eyes.  :)

I would be okay with no themes at all or just very minor changes. The Valentine's theme was brutal (can only image what the Sweetest Day theme will look like)!

If I put something out that you don't like please tell me. I won't be offended. I would rather our site look nice.

I like the changing themes.  Valentines was a bit over the top because it was so RED!  LOL, but my biggest problem was having to scroll the page back and forth.

the only thing I didnt like about it was the first couple days it didnt show the newest posts on the homepage. I find this really easy to figure out if I have missed something or not.

Consider using the "unread messages since last post" link. It is on every page so after you are done reading a post you can click it without leaving the page and you will see the next unread post. It is in the upper right hand corner.

Brian,

Call me old school, but I like the look of a clean, straight to the point, web site ;-)     Can I disable any new themes by going into my profile and changing the look and layout back to the "Ohio Reef Custom Theme"?

Yes you can do that in your profile under look and layout. There is also the default SMF theme there that has a pretty clean simple look to it.

Brian,
i pesonally like the changes. but will admit the last one had quite a bit of WOW factor to it ! also the scrolling left an right was sorta a pain. but also i knew it wasn't gonna last but few day's. so for the MOST part i enjoy and look forward to the change and fresh air you bring to the site. THANK YOU !!!!
