Homemade light holder
« on: March 30, 2009, 11:58:33 »
Well since I'm on vacation I decided to do some acrylic work for myself,  I needed to add another light to my refugium so I decided to use up some of my scraps.

I notched one end to fit over my return pipe and the other end just sits on the lip.  I'm going to be adding a filter sock holder in the future.

I like it.  Did you get the bulbs Melev recommends after seeing his presentation?

Now you are just showing off
75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

I'm using 5100k bulbs couldn't find the 6700k locally.  I e mailed Marc (Melev) and he said they would work, just not as quickly.

Its frustrating that some of those cfl floodlights dont list K.  I saw a website a while back that had called the manufactures and had a listing and picture of the packages of the 6500k+ bulbs.

No kidding.  I've looked all over those packages and the base of the bulbs looking for K ratings.  Sometimes you strike gold and find one.

I got mine for less than $12 for the pair at Lowes.  The K ratings are on the big boxes they come in.

I think I might have the same ones that Blown76 has.  We got them at Lowes and they too had the K rating on them.

If you want a model for a seahorse tank I have a 75 hex made out of acrylic with only one seam you can take measurements off of I hope to have the foam rock wall done this weekend for it
If you didn't know I'm kind of a big deal...
