Anybody run refugium anymore

Anyone have sand bed, some rubble and cheato?  I?m thinking about going back to one/trying one again. 

If not did you ever?  Why/why not?

I am working on one now in new sump for pods doubt run any sand but cheato and rubble for sure.

I am going to start one with some sand 3? or so and some extra live rock.  Then thinking about some type of box/container to hold/house sole cheato

Have some pods being delivered later this week - going to pump up my pods in my established 40 gallon and my nem tank - my newer 30 gallon is still cycling

No sand but mine is packed with live rock
