Title: flex pvc
Post by: bkvreef on December 14, 2010, 22:53:09
Was just contemplating my upcoming plumbing.  I was wondering if anyone uses this:     http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xmi/R-100173131/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 (http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xmi/R-100173131/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053)

When I build water features that is all that I use.  The stuff is awesome!

Otherwise known as SpaFlex.  Works well.  Would recommend that over elbows or 45's

I've found that the stuff that HD and Lowes sells is a little more stiff that others.  I have ordered from here

These guys are in Columbus and ship UPS.   Not sure if one of the Dayton shops sells this...... I'm sure they do.

Thanks.
I saw on reefcentral that there were some questions about cementing.  Do you just use regular pvc cement?

Normal cement works fine.  Make sure you get the couplings that have the longer insert.  Some of your sewage fittings only have an inch or less to seal into.

You work with it just like reg old stick pvc. I worked with it on almost a daily basis for areound 4 years when I worked in the hot tub industery. I do recomend you finf the couplers with the longer collars so it slides in farther so there is less chance of failure.
