can i safely add salt to my tank to raise the salinity in the tank by mixing it with tank water and pouring it back in??????

I usually just mix up a couple gallons on the hight side and add a little at a time .. Never thought about trying that way ..

i took a water bottle full of tank water and put in cough suryp cub shook it up and added it to the tank

I agree with buckeyefan, mix some new water on the high side and pour in slowly, wouldn't want to shock anything on accident

When I want to raise salinity I just use mixed water as my top off. You really should do it slowly. Can be to much of a shock to raise it all at one time.
