Title: baby bta
Post by: wrassel on November 17, 2014, 20:22:57
I purchased a rock with a coral on it about 1.5 month ago from a guy who was taking his tank down. I noticed this week about 5 what appear to be small bubble tip anenomes. I have dealt with aipstasia before and they don't look like aipstasia. They are only about 3/8" across but every tentacle definitely has a bubble tip. Anyone have an idea if bta can grow from tissue left on rock or other ideas.

I don't think so. They pretty much need a part of the mouth and foot from a split to servive. Have any pics? Could they be manjo nems?

Maybe a ball or Jewel an anemone?

Thanks for feedback. I had never really heard of the manjo anenomes but it does look like they have the bubble tips. I can get the rock out easy and I think I'll fry them while there are only a few.

I spelled that wrong. They are majano nems. If you Google it, you will see pics.

I did Google them after your first reply and it looks like they could be majano. I think I'll take rock out and do an eradication. Thanks again I had not heard of them before.
