Looks like some sort of sponge to me.. does it feel fibrous or is it slimy?

It's very soft and squishy dose not smell.

I'm pretty confident it is a sponge. I've had stuff like that show up on live rock that was in my sump before. Not quite that color, but similar looking.

I thought a sponge couldn't live in bright light. This thing was is up in my tank around 350 to 400 par

I think they call that chicken liver sponge.  I had it growing quite a bit awhile back and as I cleaned up my water the sponges slowly went away.
