should I add this 2 month old live sand to my tank?

I know the sand is probably dirty, but would it be ok to add it to my sand bed to add an inch or so? It has been in a 5 gallon bucket with salt water outside in the cold for about 2 months...can anyone help?

Or does anyone have any live sand they want to part with?

I've washed sand before.  It SUCKS.. but if you are really cheap like me, you'll do it   If there was worry of anything bad in it.  You could spread it on cookie sheets and cook it after its cleaned (bet that will smell GREAT!!) lol

if you spread it too thick over your exhisting sand bed it will sufficate it and kill the sand bed you got

I add a cup or 2 every few days until you get the depth you would want
