whats wrong with this fish?

I went to jacks tonight and they got him on trade but his head and fins look bad so they gave him to me. I think its head and lateral disease, how can i treat him?

kinda looks like some one used copper on him  i would just keep an eye on him and keep him feed and see what happens

you can see it right above & below the eyes. I say HLLE.

I had the same thing with a sailfin that I pretty much rescued... After being in a tank that had stable parameters he started to regrow the damaged tissue.  It has almost completely regrown after only a month.

My yellow tang has calmed down some and the sailfin seems to be happy and is eating good so far. I don't think they ever fed him seaweed because he won't even look at it.

I had a tang that wouldnt touch it at first either, Supplement with garlic or buy the one that has garlic in it already. He stormed it when I put it in. Hope this works for you too
