HVAC

Any HVAC peeps out there? Looking to replace our ac (maybe the furnace) this fall or next spring. Our ac is on its last leg but I may just replace the whole getup. What I am looking at is for our house what will be better, replace the central air with a new unit or switch the house over to ductless mini split system.

The problem, when our bedroom door is shut it gets hot (cold in the winter) in any of the bed rooms. Sleeping with the doors open is not an option. Our house is on a slab and the ducts run over head through a drop ceiling.

With a split system I can install it myself, I am not so sure on replacing the central air (never done one). So I know going in I can do it myself but its gonna cost about $4200 to $4300 all the parts included.

I can get a goodman 95% furnace w/2 ton ac coil lines for about $2600 but need it installed.

 Any opinions will be grateful.
