What to do!?!?

To the pc guys... I keep getting these advertizement e-mails from  @rshg233    oindexing.com  (there is a rectangle in the empty space but it won't let me copy to show it).  I've tried to send it to junk mail but it says the e-mail address is invalid and won't let me send it to junk.  I've tried to reply with STOP but get the same thing not a valid address.  I'm getting at least 4 per day.  They are always different business type things. This particular one was for business cards.  I haven't bought or subscribed to anything lately.  I never click on the advertisment for fear it may be a virus.  Any suggestions???

That's a new one.  Any way to do a screen shot and upload it so I can take a look?  I used to be a computer security guy and work with several who still are.

To do a screen shot:

to do the whole screen hold down Ctrl and hit Print screen (upper right, top row of keyboard) Open up Microsoft paint. You can then paste it into Microsoft Paint and do a 'save as' to your desktop as a .jpg.
 
to do just one window on your screen click on top bar of application window and hold down ALT and hit PRINT SCREEN

You can then upload to here just like a normal picture.

Copy the email name rshg233    oindexing.com  again and paste into notepad and tell me what you get.  Sounds like someone figured out how to introduce invalid characters into an email either that or it is a font or foreign language character that your PC doesn't recongnize....

just did some quick searches online... Some knowledge bases and user groups report something similar with Chinese or Hebrew characters in email.... My bet is that it is Chinese due to it being SPAM....

Yea it looks like it is most likely a foreign character judging by something similar in the link that is in the email where it starts saying Dona miss out.

Not sure how to fix this...  I will see if I can do some more research....

ok, you are in outlook.  try right click and "create rule".  see if that auto fills in the email to create a garbage filter

It doesn't show a place for any e-mail and it only brings up the business name, however, it does allow me to have email sent to "subscribers" which is what it shows as the recipients name.  I set up a rule to delete that and will see if it sends them to the deleted file.  If so, I will then change it to permanetly delete it.  Thanks again for your help guys!

that seems to have worked.  I got another one that went straight to my deleted box.  I then changed the rules to make it permanetly deleted.  I would still like to know more about who or how this ended up being sent to me.

theres no way of knowing how it got sent to you. there are bots out there, companies sell/lease email addresses for advertising companies, etc. The only way to prevent that, you cant, just have to have good spam detection. and when their spam detection fails and send it to your email box, you have to make rules for your email client
