So, what is the deal with all the deaths? I have just been struck also. My Mandarin Goby has disappeared. He has been eating well and was plenty fat and healthy. Yesterday I couldn't find him in my tank and assume he is either hiding for the past 48 hours or had his ticket punched....

Did someone walk Ohio Reef under a ladder or did a black cat cross in front of us... perhaps break a mirror or open an umbrella?

There has been a string of death going around in the SW fish world, Down in cincy it has been crazy how many have died.

nope so i just used one of the biggest toats i have and put all of my fish in there tonight and tomorrow im going to go and get some stuff for copper treating it. i had nothing else i could do they will either die of ick in my big tank or die from being cramped in my small toat all i can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Let's not start this conversation here. If you really want to, go read it at cincy reef. It's pretty sad bickering.

Moral of the story. don't trust anyone with your tank. If you don't QT.......that is your risk. Do not blame others for your carelessness.

i didnt blame anyone just luck of the draw and its whatever thats why its called a hobby cause its something you enjoy and it takes alot of your money. im happy and content and learning as i go

Vince has enough problems of his own. Yeah he knows who all these fish came from, we all do, but he is just as bad as the guy that started this whole mess. I lost 4 fish, the two I bought from the guy and a pair of clowns i had in that tank. I didnt fully QT my fish but atleast i didnt stick them in my showtank. I feel lucky for that! it was only a $70 mistake instead of a couple hundred dollar mistake. I learned my lesson, I will setup a QT tank before I get anymore fish.

i know i have learned my lesson lol and a QT is the only thing on my priority list at the moment and hopefully i can learn from my mistake and help new comers in the process.
