I had one on my old prop tank and on my current one. 2x 250w Metal Halide covers 8 foot of tank. It is a good energy savings and it gives light to more of the coral with it moving not just the angle of stationary lights. I love it and would never be without one. Will try to get some new video for you this evening. Here is old setup. http://www.ohioreef.com/index.php?topic=4795.msg54216#msg54216

I do however wish they would add some better technology for them such as allow for speed and programmed stop points on the rail and duration. Currently they can only stop at the ends of the rail from 0-60 seconds depending on your selection.

i was wondering how much flexibiltiy there was in controlling speed & length of travel. sounds limited. the electric savings is more the goal for me. thinking of one 250W light on a 4' tank.

Well I am sure you could get a good PLC and have someone set it up and program it for you to have it stop where ever you want it.
