Clam making a mess spawning
« on: March 02, 2012, 21:08:50 »
My clam has done this a couple times since I've had it but I figured I'd video it this time. The water perimeters are fine and nothing has been changed. Have not figured out what triggers this event. It sure makes the water cloudy for a little bit. I'm just amazed with marine life and figured I'd share it.

I usually run carbon after a spawn event. Last one I had was a diadema sp. urchin.

I've never seen one spawn in person.
There's a video on YouTube about multiple tridacna clams spawning and it looks like a mess!
Thanks and God Bless,
John
