C.U.C. in a FOWLR
« on: August 06, 2013, 19:41:55 »
Need some ideas of a cuc I can put in the corner. I had some snails in there and the tusk is eating them. Any ideas?

I think just about any crab would be eaten. The wife thinks the arrow crabs will some how survive. Was thinking urchins, a couple serpent stars maybe.

Yeah I don't think he will mess with a long spine urchin.

Still looking for a cuc that will survive in the 92. Going a huge hermit crab. He got ate the first night. Tried 2 large serpent stars. Thought they could hide good enough to avoid the same fate. Nope both eaten a d torn to shreds by the tusk. So far I have a pincushion and short spine urchins that he has left alone. But I need meat eating cuc types. My only other thought is a goatfish. No one has any other ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My old tusk ate everything in my 475g..... He also liked biting my tank and have a few scratches from it :(

Best bet is to increase flow in tank and add a filter sock
300g tub o fish

I did put a powerhead in the rock blowing to the front of the tank as to keep food and stuff from collecting in the rock. And I do use a sock. Guess ill just keep that up the.  I still think I need a goatfish tho. Just to be safe.

What do goatfish eat?

I added a pair of mp60's to my tank which helped a lot however there would still be areas that crap would pile up.

After adding 10-12 fish a week or two ago those piles of poop do not exist any more :)

I did a poor job setting up my filter..... First fowlr and I didn't design it to use socks..... :(. Live and learn
