okay for you all growing out frags and corals, I enjoyed the swap this morning.  I would like to know what lights you are running over your systems at home.  I saw a lot of LED's today, but I realize those are just frag tanks for the show. what are you all using to grow them out at home? someday I hope to do some frag swaps. wondering what goes on behind the scenes in your own frag systems at home. Phos.

A lot of people use LED fixtures for their frag tanks.  Marine Solutions is a popular option.  The fixtures are relatively cheap and they have separate controls for white and blue channels.  Lazylivin uses a different brand, which he loves.

I use DIY built, using components from Rapid LED.  My frag tank is lit with the Aurora pucks.

Halides are probably better.......as long as you keep up with bulb changes.    But the full spectrum Led's continue to close the gap.  The upside of led is color tuning to your desire....the downside might be a little slower growth.  Well worth it to me.

100% LED here, over the DT and frag tanks.  Will never go back to Halides.

I use led for the economical reasons but halide would be my preference if money was no option; second choice KESSILS. Off brand Chinese  LEDS are just so cheap now. Some fixitures are as cheap as a single metal halide bulb. It's hard to use anything else especially now that they are becoming more reliable

Thanks for sharing. I wondered because sometimes what you see at the swaps doesn't reflect what is going on at home.
