MP 40 upgrade to Quiet Drive

Recently purchased a used mp 40. It performs well and synced right up to might MP 40 QD, only downside is it is a little noisy. Ecotech has upgrades and they told me a new QD controller would eliminate the excess noise. Just curious if anyone else has tried this and does it work?

I would think the motors are what are noisy but ecotech would know what quiets their product down.  How much is the upgrade?

$75, they say it is the controller.
