that is a sundial Snail they eat zoos.

Just get some tweestres and keep pluckig them out.  They are totaly controlable. You can squirt water on the zoos to ge them to close so you can better inspect them.

Well, I pulled out 3, and there's 1 more that I could not reach without rearranging some rockwork. They're free to a good home.
