This is probably not a big deal to ya'll, but I bought 1 1/2 pounds of live rock today at Jack's in Sidney to seed my tank. When I got it home and in the tank I noticed little tentacles moving all over the rock, and when I looked closer I seen micro stars coming out of the rock. Also my wife noticed on the backside of the rock a Hawiian featherduster which cost like $17.00 bucks at jacks. For $8.05 I ended up with alot for my money.

If you really want to get a good cycle and a lot more live stuff, you should ask some of the folks on here for a small scoop of sand from their tank.  It really gets you some diversity for your sand bed, as well as some micro hitch hikers that will help your tank in the long run.

Everybody has been so helpful allready Falcon, thanks alot. All of the sand I have in there right now was from a system that was taken down a little while ago. So far I've been testing for ammonia everyday the most I've got was like .50, and that was 2 days ago. I tested today and it was down to 0-.25 max. Also Micki being the giving person that she is offered up some live rock for the cause. Thanks again to everybody for all the help.. This is a great group of people here on Ohio Reef. :)

That does sound kinda neat!!! We could put it all into a bucket, stir it around a little and then scoop some out for each person.
