I love the fact that they get the bail out and this is what they do.   :(

I would have made better use of the money than a un-needed jet!

They did order the jet 2 years ago.  They are just following through on their commitment.  When they were in front of Congress this info would have been incuded in their financial records.  Also CEO's can't fly commercial.  When they are traveling they are dealing with A Lot of very propritary and secret info.  While they are in the air they are usually working and none of this could be done in a airport or a commercial jet.  The thing I do find amusing is the didn't by American.  I can also agree that once they take possesion of the jet it should go right back up for sale.  They do need to fly private but there are much less expensive jets out there.  Plus they already have a fleet of jets anyway.  It is time for them to tone down the luxery.

my thing is if they need a new jet fine but this is not the time wait a year so people forget about the bail out i'm sure something else will come up. i would rather not fly with ceo's of huge banks and company or political people, so they can fly private all they want just dont flaunt it now when people a hurting

I work for National City in Miamisburg and our company just got bought by PNC. We were the highest capitalized bank of the top 20 banks in the country but because we could not participate in TARP it gave the perception that we were not a viable company. Thus the stock plummeted and PNC basically bought us with Tax payers money for free. Really sad, now my wife and I are probably going to loose are jobs. The sad thing is we did not need TARP money to survive.

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that.
My sister works for a bank in FL and they got bought out about a month ago -a lot of people losing jobs there too.

The way this all went down makes me  :puke
