Google Chrome

Is anyone using it?

I downloaded it and started using it for about 5 min before I noticed my finger pad scroll wouldn't work and I manually have to move the curser over to the bar to slide the page down.

Is there any way to fix this?

I think it was released for about 15 minutes before the first exploit (flaw in the software that EVIL DO-ERS  can use) came out for it. Some people at my work wanted to use it and needless to say, they didn't. It does do certain things very fast, but overall (and for the majority of users) the security risks outweigh the few things it does do. Do a google search for "google chrome exploits" without the quotes and you'll see. Eventually it will get there, but until it does, I highly recommend against using it.

One of the exploits actually allowed the web browser to download executables without the end user knowing about it.  Depending on what operating system you are using, nothing like a screen saver kicking in and installing a virus too! Just my 2 cents from a network admin.

I had issues w/google chrome as well. It has some really nice features in it but also a lot of little bugs that were annoying. Will try again in future releases.

I didn't like Chrome.  I have a few buddies that still use it.  I don't consider them power users though.  For work I use nothing but FireFox.  It is the only way to go!

A couple neat Firefox plug-ins:

Fast Video Download

Took me forever to realize mozilla offers this...
Lets you rip youtube, ect videos (basically any flash video) to your hard drive then convert it. I don't condone piracy but it can come in handy for when you find those "watch old movies and tv shows online" websites  ;) ;) ;)

and StumbleUpon.

The best way I know to kill countless hours lol Basically you tell it what you like and it throws random pages at you when you hit the stumble button. It's pretty entertaining and can be addictive.

Yeah, firefox deffo rules
