Spiders

Just curious as to who or what "yahoo" and "google spiders" are.

Down at the bottom of the forum page it lists who is all on-line and says yahoo spider and google spider.

"Spiders" are basically miners...they go to every site every so often and grab keywords, so they can use those key words in searches (at least that's my understanding.)  Nothing to worry about...in fact, they're good for us.

Yes, they are good! They scan the site for keywords and insert those into the search engine database. The more keywords get associated with our site the higher we appear in the results.
