Coraline and urchins

Hello, I was reading online and saw that many urchins will eat coraline? How much will they eat? I have tried everytool/device recomended... would they help get some of it off the glass in my tank? its driving me nuts!

My Urchin strips my rocks white. He doesn't mess wit the glass much, unless I put him on the glass. He will also mow over everything in his path, including your frags.

I got a small urchin from Justin and hes doing a good job and NOT knocking over anything. And when he does---hes gone--traded in for newer model.

Mine never liked the coraline on the glass. They will devour it elsewhere, though.

Long spine urchins will grow out of your tank very fast. I recommend not getting one.

I found that when my magnesium was too low I did not get any coraline growth...

Is that the case with all tanks; does the coraline need the mag to grow?

I got a urchin from Justin today....we will see what happens worse case senerio I have to take him out! I also got a Aptasia eating fish that is really cool!

Hope the urchin works for you. I had a larger pink spined  urchin that knocked everything over. He had 2 go.

Ya i really dont have much to knock over... I was given the tank and the coraline is built up like all get out
