My New Kole Tang
« on: August 23, 2010, 13:51:35 »
This my my latest addition.  Got him last night at AS.  He hid under a shelf all night, the Sailfin and him were butting tails till the Foxface got in the middle and stopped the Sailfin.  It was funny watching the Sailfin get all poofed up trying to get to him.  Didn't know fish would defend each other.  When I got up this morning, him and the Foxface were under the shelf together, the Sailfin was under a different shelf.  Today when I got home from work, they were all swimming together.  Glad they all made nice with each other ...

Love it, Can Koles and Yellows go togeather?  They have the raspy mought that eats crap off glass and rocks right?

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

I don't know about them being together, mine is doing great with the Sailfin now.  I think it's just a 50/50 shot.  Yes, they constantly peck away at the rocks and glass and everything else that has stuff on it.

Always love Kole Tangs!  I can't wait till I get my 125 going... that is the first fish I will be adding to the system once I have enough growth for him and my Scopus to eat!

They are just awesome and look awesome!

I just pulled up the Scopus Tang.  They are neat fish.  I need a bigger tank !!!!   I was afraid of the Coral Beauty going after him, she is a b*tch.  After the first night, they all getting along fabulously now.

the scopus may be a "bland" brown fish, but they are great grazers! They get in where my hippo can't . They get along very well!

Consider a Tomini tang, it is a bristletooth tang, same family as the kole and chevron tang, and they are just plain beautiful. Their color varies a lot so make sure you pick from a few.

I had a sweet one in my 125. It was awesome to watch swim the length of the tank! I don't know if I will get another though with all the other gangs I have in the tank. Gotta make sure they have food!

Current tank is a 150g.  New tank is a 240g.  They have been in the 150 for 2 years without any major problems.  There was some tail batting at first but they settled down after a week or so.

We want a 6 foot long.  Just don't have a wall without a window on it to put it on.  Could get rid of the hubby's recliner ...  hmmmm
