crappy week

So monday my dad takes mom to the hospitals - emergency room due to having a few issues.  She ended up spending 3 nights there.... they determined she had a stroke (I think she's had a few) & has high blood pressure, diabetes & high cholesterol.  She said she stopped taking her diabetes meds a few years ago because she felt fine & didn't think she needed it.  Fortunantly she still seems to be mostly OK, time will tell I guess......

Then this morning my grandfather fell at home, he smaked his head hard & has some brain swelling.  They are also looking at his hip which he broke a few years ago & has a pin in it.  The DR thinks he's going to be OK but at 99 yrs old it's hard to say what's going to happen

.... what a week...... ugh....

I am truly sorry to hear of your "crappy" week. I have grown up thinking that "if this week was so horrible, next week will have to be better" and more often then not it usually is. Hopefully, this coming week will be greatly rewarding! Take care and best wishes to you and your family.

thanks everyone for your thoughts..... she's improving every day..... she should be back home with dad tomorrow & it looks like the few side effects she had are slowly going away. 

Grandpa is also doing pretty well considering his age & all.  He has some bruising & looks like he will have to spend some time at a nursing home for a while, but prognosis is really good.
