tadpoles... how to get rid of them?
« on: May 16, 2012, 17:03:50 »
My non finished pond has probably a few hundred of these guys, various sizes

Any suggestion on how to get rid of them? Or should I wait until they become frogs and encourage them to leave somehow else??  Hopefully in the next two weeks I will have water circulating through a filter.....

Depending on what kind of tadpoles they are it could take years for them to become frogs or toads. Unless tu need to drain it, I would just continue. Once you put some fishes in there things will equal out.

What's wrong with tadpoles? We've got at least 15 good sized ones in our little garden pond. We also have 3 frogs living in it.

in my other pond I have pulled probably 10 frogs out of the skimmer box... drowning in there

Once I install the two skimmer boxes I hate having frogs drown like that...... could have a few hundred tadpoles in there

bass would be nice, then I guess I could just catch it when it's time to add koi
