Inland Aquatics told me when I was over there that they haven't done a water change since 1993...

They have 5 systems including a 10- or 20,000 gallon system.  They really like turf scrubbers, and I didn't see a single protein skimmer in use, which is also what they said.  They had lots of soft corals, but their systems really reflected 1990's-style corals, i.e., softies, leathers, rics, algaes, and so forth.  The colors of everything was very muted.  They said that they had just sold all of their SPS's, and I saw one or two and some LPS's, but they didn't appear in the best of health.  I think their water column is stripped of a lot of things.  The tanks looked like my earlier system with low alk, low calcium, and weak lighting.  If you like soft corals and clownfish of all breeds, this is definitely the place for you.

They were very knowledgable, very nice, and offered a club discount if we show up as a group.  It really is something to see with all of the curing vats, tanks, and all of the turf scrubbers in operation.

Ok I was intrigued, so I went to their site...

699.99 for a turf scrubber!?!?!

Dear lord, that thing better clean it's self and fetch me a beer for that price.
