my new fish
« on: July 31, 2012, 16:41:07 »
Ordered some fish last week & they are in QT for a bit.  Not the best pics.....

I purchased a Blueface Angel, Flame Angel, 3 Yellow Tangs, Yello Eye Kole Tang (didn't know that a XL attitude was included with this guy.... DAM), Sargassum Trigger & a Naso Tang

FWIW the PCV pipes are 4in diameter pieces.... of coarse a few days after I order they get some of the other fish I need in stock.  Emperor Angel, Sohal Tang & a purple tang.  Purple tangs just went from $80 to $98 for a 3-4in one..... ouch.  Maybe I will stick with the yellow's

the big Naso isn't really eating much yet.... looks like everyone else is.... some better then others.  The naso was suppose to be 6-9 inches + streamers..... seems to be 9+ inches :)

Nice fish there.  I really like the blue face!  IME, naso tangs are quite hardy.  I have to ask are you putting these fish in a reef?  Also, are you keeping the yellow and purple tangs together?  I know some people that got away with keeping a purple and yellow tang together, but others say it was a tragedy.  Either way, best of luck to you.

Its a FOWLR..... yea they are pretty hardy, he's just cramped in the 125g tub..... hopefully I can get him to eat more soon!

I have always been told 1, 3 or more of the yellow/purple tangs & that they can be mixed if enough room and enough fish.  Thats what my plan was but due to the purple's being about $100 I am going to skip that idea & get some other stuff.  Mostly I am worried about the attitude of my powder blue.....

It is going to be a nice tank with all those fish in there. Are you doing hypo or copper in quarantine?
