my son is wanting to buy a tank
« on: June 16, 2014, 21:00:34 »
My son is saving up for his first saltwater tank. He has kept freshwater with great success, so I am allowing it. He wants a 28g nano cube like I have, but a new one is out of his 10 year old budget. If anyone has a near complete 30 gallon or so system for sale let us know. He has a 29 gallon now, but upgrading lights and filter or putting a sump under it can get pricey. Thanks of looking.

I have a 39g tall tank and stand with heater and FW items with it I was going to sell to someone on my FD, but she hasn't gotten in over 2 months. I used it for brackish, I wanted to keep seahorses in it, being the perfect size and shape, but I barely have time for 1 tank, let alone 2. Was selling it for $125, but since you want it for SW and I don't have much SW parts to spare, would sell for $75.

The more I think about what all he already has, I think we may add to his system. I appreciate the offer though. I can make a sump out of a 10 gal. He would have to buy a pump, hopefully used and cheaper, and some sort of lighting since the stock hood is not great.
