Aren't all versions of the clown fish available tank raised? 

If so I would hope they would ban collection of all clownfish due to the availability of being captive bred.

The problem is that the ESA makes no distinction between wild and captive animals. Once something gets listed as Endangered all trade of it becomes illegal.

Basically if you have one... you have to keep it. You can't sell it. You can't give it away. And you can't cross state lines with it. Also makes it illegal to kill them. So hope you don't get a new job out of state and have to move, and hope they die of old age.
